After School Program

 

After school program offers homework assistance, Mandarin, Math and English classes. Please click to see the class schedules.

 

Mandarin...

We offer traditional characters curriculum. Beginning classes focus on listening and speaking while Intermediate and Advanced classes focus on reading and writing. Students are encouraged to participate in academic competitions including speech, read aloud, and performance contests to improve their skills in Mandarin.

 

English...

We supplement English learning with reading, vocabulary development, and writing skills. Students became better readers and writers while gaining confidence and independent skills.

 

Math...

Every day, the students are given Math practice generally one grade level above what they are currently in. Materials used in this session are based on each student’s individual progression to promote independent learning skills.

 

Art...

Art classes are taught in Mandarin so the students can learn daily conversation in Mandarin. Art projects reflect holiday celebrations and Chinese culture while learning about art concepts.
