This week was our first week of the fall camp for the year round school students. The theme for this week was Chinese cultural week. Our genius kids did lots of painting, cooking, and playing Chinese games while at the same time kept up with our work in Math, Chinese, and English. Come join us!
Our genius children were super busy working on building balloon rockets, mixing bubble monsters, ooableck and figuring out what make something sink and/or float. We also looked into Chinese inventions: abacus, name seal, calligraphy, kites and noodle. We all voted noodle is the best activity because we got to make it and then eat it!
This week Genius kids celebrated Chinese festivals with arts, food and songs. We started the week with drawing of Chinese temple & lanterns and making Nian Gao &
Yuan Xiao to celebrate Chinese New Year. We also made dumplings and mooncakes to celebrate Moon Festival. Best of all, we learned to sing the famous song, 明月 Bright Moon to wish the best for everyone!
