Transitional Kindergarten:

For science this week,  our TKs explored the secret of "wind 風." We made straw rocket. We cut plastic droppers in order to make the straw go through it. Then we glued plastic droppers on the paper rocket. When we blew straw, the rocket launched.

We also made the model of "wind vane 風向標." We used a plate, paper cup. a pin and a pencil. Wind vane is used for testing the direction of wind.

In Chinese, we read the mini book "他們是哪兒來的.“ We read it aloud and learned the new character "生." We practiced to write it. We learned to sort the animals between terrestrial animal or amphibian.

Our Kindergartener started the lesson "我会" this week. We explored three new characters "请, 可, and 以." For Abacus, we reviewed using "算盤" to perform numbers up to 5 digits. We learned how to figure out place values for numbers up to 3 digits. Some of us also practiced two digit maths.
